I have a program written in Delphi (2006 Borland). I need a quick lesson in how translate languages used in labels and print outs into non english languages with non latin character sets.
As I understand it this requires the use of unicode for the text. I have read the documentation with Delphi, and I don't understand it in a way that I get it to work.
Therefore what I would like to do is ask an experienced coder to do the translations into unicode for a language.
The project:
Produce a Delphi Version (Version 2005) of Adjuvant! that can run in any language (using controls that will run using non-latin alphabets).
The user in a start up screen (to be created for this new version of the program) picks the language and it has all the elements are then in the language that they pick that appear on subsequent screens in the language that they have picked.
For creating the initial 3 versions (English, Spanish, Japanese), with the English, Spanish, and Japanese printout text and spacing stored in a text file called '[login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL]', and all the screen elements directly in the correct language using TNT controls (with appropriate files and/or code storing the different languages).
That the printout control allow the user to select the language of their choice. For example someone running the program in Japanese could ask that the printouts be in Spanish.
Some documentation to be provided detailing how to add a 4th language (say Russian) later.
Current version of Delphi Version of Adjuvant will be supplied on acceptance. List files with translations will be supplied 3-4 days later. Completion of project 7 days after acceptance.
