Hi
I need some help from an experienced C# .NET winforms developer.
Hopefully the attached screenshot explains what I need exactly but here is further information:
I have a form full of textboxes and a couple of comboboxes.
I don't seem to know of an easy way to validate the values before submitting it to save to the database.
What I want is the best way to validate individual textboxes, or combo boxes whereby if its value is wrong, the software will put the error in the forms StatusStrip and then focus on the textbox so the user knows they need to change the value.
In the textbox the text has to be validated based on a minimum and maximum value (I realise maximum characters isn't a problem). I want to have a mandatory check too. Some textboxes should check to be valid Int32 numbers.
And for the combo boxes I want to be able to validate if they have selected any thing from the list. (see attached txt)
Basically I need some validation routines that I can reuse throughout my solution, I'm just a bit stuck and not sure of the best way to do it.
That's it! I think I'll also need assistance with other things in the near future, so if you're available for projects after this (which you can give me a cost per problem) that would be great.
## Deliverables
Complete and fully working source code in C# to achieve the validation requirements outlined above.
## Platform
Windows XP
