Android Application Development(repost)

We need an application to find places near the user's ubication. This is an application that lets you find places around your current location such as restaurants, cafes, bars, gas stations, drugstores, hotels, ATMs and other types of services. There will be two views in which the user can see the places around: 1. The first one is a map showing the different places around the user. We'd like to know if it's posible to show custom icons on every place in the map. For example mc donalds or pizza hut logos on the map. 2. The second one is a simple list where user can see the places around ordered by distance. 3. The user can also filter the information in these two views by entering a category in the search textbox that will be on top of both views. By clicking on a place to see details (on the list or the map) the user is redirected to a page (place details). Companies that are paying for a membership will have a custom page, the rest of companies will have a very simple page. See attached file for more details.
