We use an existing closed source system to produce contour maps with analytical data from our labs. I would like to move to using the Python library matplotlib. I am not part of our scientific team, so I am not clear as to what the data even pertains to...but I'm hoping it isn't relevant. I have attached a sample set of data and how it is used to create contour maps (as well as sample maps). I need a simple, well documented Python script that I can integrate with our other systems to create PNG and PDF contour maps for our needs. I'm assuming for someone who has done his type of thing before, this should be pretty straight forward.
