Configure Database with server (repost)

- I have an existing client who host the site that was developed through my business, however i have lost contact with the previous coder who developed the back office/cms and DB... I think it is php although the client has now upgraded their server to Windows 2008 and the database is not compatible as it was before, I will need the coder to configure the existing database to the new server upgrade, making sure everything is back to normal prior to the server upgrade. I have downloaded TeamViewr to acess remote desktop access. I need to know from the chosen coder what details i need to for the remote desktop access etc..very urgent
