"Scan and Attach" Salesforce Button -- 2

On a general Salesforce object in the Notes and Attachments section I'd like a "Scan and Attach" button that automatically tells my local USB attached scanner to scan whatever is loaded and then attaches it to the Salesforce record as a PDF.
The way Salesforce currently works I have to scan the document to a file, then click Attach File in Salesforce on the object, then click Choose File and hunt the file down, and then click Attach File. This takes way too long. I want to just hit "Scan and Attach" and it automatically scans whatever I have loaded on the scanner into a single PDF as an attachment.
Solution needs to work in Chrome and Windows 7 and 10.
