Hi I have a sample access database that exports a query to an xls file, formats it and open it with excel. What I would like is to change this to use open office calc (still using ms access).

It uses the [url removed, login to view] method to export it then uses the excel reference to format the sheet (add sub totals in format headings etc).

It is a sample which I need to get working to I can implement the changes into a larger project so the code needs to be well structured and commented.

I need to do this as the database will be going on a terminal server setup with around 100 users and we will be using access runtime for the database and would like to avoid having to purchase 100 licenses for excel if we can as it will be the only time it is required. So basically it must do the export and formatting of a spreadsheet without needing excel installed.
