Adobe premiere plugin development

We have a project involving development of an adobe premiere plug in that enable editing of video as well as screen motion and will export video and motion code to a player application that will drive sliding screens

to tell you more about the project:

physical installation consisting of a large LED screen (4:1 ratio) and in front of it 2 other portrait narrow screens are sliding (driven by servo motors (through PLC and drives).
the idea is that the end user over an adobe premiere plugin can edit his video and at the same time see and setup the motion of the screens with their individual video content over time.


The software solution is composed of 2 elements:
- Screen driving software (reads the files and execute commands) - done internally
- Offline editing solution (bespoke solution) in the form of either independent software or plugin for well-known video editing suite. - our requirement f the day!
The software will have the following features but may not be limited to:
- Several Video importing capability
- Assigning a video file to a display (back one or front ones)
- Preview the complete system motion with the various videos on each screen by the mean of a simulation
- Program the motion of the screens by setting up key frames that gives position of displays over time.
- Program will have a configuration file that has the physical parameters of the installation such as motion length, maximum and minimum speed / acceleration, etc…
- Several watchdogs will be on the editing software to avoid screen collision or out of range data.
- The editing application would either be independent or developed as a plugin / script for adobe premiere suite. This last solution would provide the video editing / composing power at the same time as integration to the system. A script would then output video files and xml files for the player software to run the show.
- Motion templates could be developed like “reveal effect”, “erase”, “bounce”, etc..
- Content upload will be done via JCD Broadsign that will:
o Send the Video and XML files to specific folder on the local machine
o Execute player command once files are uploaded (command line with arguments)
- Source code shall be well documented with comments and provided at the end of the project for later update from our team if required.
