We need a self-service customer sign-up, check-in, and order system. It will need to have a front end system for customers and a backend system for cashiers/fulfillment. The cashier can use our existing separate POS system for sales transactions, though an integrated system would be preferred. Front end storyboard will be uploaded for further explanation. Here is a very high level: The front-end system: 1. Accept the customer’s information, storing it in a database for field population and future use. 2. Accept the customer’s order for a handful of products. 3. Be capable of error-checking and bringing up follow-up screens in order to complete the order. 4. Place the order in a queue for fulfillment 5. Run on a touchscreen as a standalone kiosk. The back-end system: 1. Manage the queue 2. Allow the employee to work on an order, place an order on hold, mark an order as complete, etc. 3. Update information in the customer database, including scanning a driver license or passport image for new customers. Beneficial additions would be: 1. An internet based system in order to protect the database and make it accessible. 2. A complete POS integrated with this self-service system so that orders would not need to be reentered. Thank you.
