Annual Report design for Small Charity

Royston Youth Action is a charity based in Glasgow. We have compiled an Annual Report for the year 2005-06. We are looking for someone to take our layout and put the text and pictures into an attractive design. The report is set up as 4 A4 pages placed in landscape form, folded in half and printed on both sides. This provides a booklet with 16 pages in A5 size. You will need to create a design layout for this report and place all the text, headings, pictures, graphs and tables into the report for us. We will provide all the text, the pictures, the graphs, the titles, the tables and any other such information. You will provide us with a nicely designed and laid out annual report. This Annual Report is for a youth organisation and we wish to use this report as supporting evidence when writing to potential grant funders. As such, the design we are looking for needs to be sharp, clear and professional. It is not a youth orientated report and therefore should not be designed with young people in mind. The report needs to convey that it is from a youth organisation without it being ‘youthy’. At the end of the day, if this report does not impress funders, then our organisation will not bring in new funding and therefore will have to reduce its level of service provision. It is therefore essential that this design looks good and is very attractive and well thought through. As I mentioned above, all the textual information will be provided. You need to provide a great design. The annual report will be printed on a Magicolor 5430DLD printer. It does not have full bleed, so the design should not go right up to the edges. You will need to incorporate a border as the printer has an unprintable area of 6mm around the edge. It will also need to be set up to print as a double sided booklet. To help us make our decision though it would be helpful if you were able to provide a rough idea as to the potential design you had in mind for this project. Although we will provide the text for the report, we understand that the text will need to be edited to fit round the design. Note that each page will have a main blurb and normally a picture, a graph, a quote or some other relevant piece of information to be added to it.
