Hello Mehboob. I own a web consulting company and have been contracted by a client to build a new website. I want to ask for your expertise and am willing to pay you to consult me.
The client sells auto parts (mostly radiators, a/c condensers and a/c fans, but expanding to more parts soon). They are currently using a data management software called Aconnex to manage the aftermarket auto parts data related to these parts and their fittings. I have attached a reference for Aconnex API. The CSV file the system outputs is quite large (100,000+ records).
I was told by their current contractor for data updates that the best platform for this new site is Volusion but I am not convinced. I would like to know what you feel would work best.
The basic idea of the site they want to create is that it will have a parts filter like this site: [url removed, login to view]
I imagine it will be a script that will pass user selections over via this API and then pull matching products from this Aconnex system. I am not sure if [url removed, login to view] has any 3rd party database, but we would want the site to behave similarly.
I need to know if you would give me some time over chat to discuss what you feel would be the best option for the client keeping in mind there a few important factors:
1. Building a site like [url removed, login to view] especially when you have a very large 3rd party database to reference.
2. Integration of eBay, Amazon and other marketplaces in a way that the sales can be managed from one place rather than 3 or 4 consoles.
3. The company needs customized shipping modules and maintain dimension data to help automatically recognize cheapest shipping options based on dimensional weights.
I know I have written a lot. I am willing to pay an hour of work if you can chat with me tonight.
Please feel free to message me when you can.
