Ladakhi Vernacular Architecture Engineer

I am preparing a new building project that must celebrate the spirit of Ladakh, India, while performing flawlessly in its high-altitude climate. To do that, I need an engineer who truly understands Ladakhi vernacular architecture—its earth-bound walls, timber frames, stone infill, and the balanced relationship each structure keeps with the surrounding mountainscape. The brief My goal is to translate centuries-old know-how into a contemporary, code-compliant design package. A concept design set (plans, sections, elevations) illustrating how local building forms and proportions are maintained. 2. A material and method specification that details local stone, mud brick, timber roofing systems, insulation layers, and any passive solar strategies. 3. A concise energy-performance brief or simulation proving the envelope can handle Ladakh’s winter lows and summer highs (tools such as Revit, DesignBuilder, or equivalent are welcome). 4. Guidance notes that a regional contractor can follow without losing the authenticity of craft.
