Hi, I'm an electronic engineer with more than 5 years of experience in Arduino programming. I Watched the video which uses raspberry pi. First of all it's a good decision to use an Arduino because this machine does not need a Raspberry pi. This is an interesting project and also I'm confident that I can successfully help you on this project because I have very good experience in Arduino programming such as using Relays, LCD displays, User inputs and use of LED strips(if you want to add them. That's not a big deal anyway). I can help you with wiring diagrams fro Arduino, and programming as well. Also I can help you with selecting LCD displays and buttons etc. Also I would like to suggest some enhancement such as create an mobile app which can control this via bluetooth.
