Modify Caterina bootloader to upload Arduino binary sketches over Serial1

The Caterina open source bootloader will currently upload an Arduino sketch binary over the USB serial port. I need the bootloader modified to also allow the sketch binary uploaded over the hardware serial port Serial1, utilizing the same AVR109 protocol that is used over the USB serial port. The target device is the AprilBrother (now Aprilbeacon) Cactus WHID. It uses this version of the bootloader - [login to view URL] - I will mail one Cactus WHID to the chosen candidate. Deliverables will include a zip or tar of everything necessary to create a git fork of the above project, sample binary, compile instructions and comply with same license. Let me know if any further information is desired. Modified device should exhibit and utilize the same external properties other than the port selection for the upload.
