I'm Lucas, the founder of PianoDreamers.com. For several years we’ve been establishing this resource in the music industry. Our goal is to become the hub of the most useful and in-depth information about digital pianos, keyboards, pianos, and piano playing in general.
You won’t find any superficial 500-word articles or other entertainment-type content that doesn’t say anything concrete and was just “copy-pasted” from another site. Most of our articles are 2500+ words high-quality pieces of content that go into a lot of detail about the topic.
For now, there're mostly digital piano reviews and buying guides on the website, but we’d like to publish more informational and how-to articles about digital pianos/keyboards, and their use for learning, teaching, music production, etc.
Examples of such articles would be:
Best piano apps for teachers/students
How to record a digital piano?
The best ways to learn piano
How to use a digital piano as a MIDI-controller?
Why playing the piano is beneficial to you?
Best digital piano brands
What are VST plugins and why you might want to use them?
We're looking to hire another writer who can contribute to our blog. The position will start with 2 blog posts per month, with much room to grow beyond this if you can deliver consistent quality work.
Depending on the length we pay $50 to $100 per article (approx. $0.025 per word)
Most of the blog posts will be between 2,000 – 3,500 words per post with occasional articles of 3,500+ words. So please bid based on delivering 2 x 2,000 – 3,500-word articles (around 5,500 words total).
Please note that we have very high editorial standards compared to most other blogs. Every post that we publish goes through our strict editorial process where we check all claims and ideas for accuracy.
Our readers trust us, and we absolutely must ensure the highest quality content. You'll be assigned topics by myself and given a submission deadline. It's quite likely that in the first couple of weeks there will be a lot of feedback and editing required, but generally, once a writer gets into the swing of things, that part should be minimal.
By all means, check out our latest blog posts to get a feel for the sort of quality we are looking for. Note that we only require our writers to write the content, no web formatting or design is required.
Please provide at least 3 samples of similar content you have written and/or published in your application. Also, take 5 minutes to customize your application since copy pasted applications rarely stand out :)
Thanks and good luck!
