GUI is not needed. User can enter data into text control file. The primary hurdle has been to load the file and Function: Load an audio file, provide default Current Tempo, provide user the ability to enter new Current Tempo value in beats per minute, second, millisecond (or tempo can be included in file name in later milestone); Create program capability to color-change, rotate or scale Generated Vector Images at pertinent Tempo Positions at near-zero latency (for e.g. if GUI were created with vertical gridlines for 16th notes, a rotation could occur at a user-determined position of multiples of the 16th duration per the Current Tempo). PC version could be proof of concept for lighting industry. Phone O/S app version is desirable but not sure what toolset to use. I will consider your ideas. I prefer a use of ASIO to control audio playback (to synchronize to graphics data stream) since for achieving lowest latency this is the standard for Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) in the professional music software field. Previously by another hire this was attempted using Open GL and C++ but the programmer could not achieve synchronization, probably due mostly to not accounting for the audio file load time? For PC there are a number of API's mentioned in forums, but I'm not finding a clear winner in terms of the synchronization of video with vector graphics. I suspect Unreal Engine would do this well, but few programmers know how to use it.
