This is a project for a startup company to deliver solution to form a short distance, low power consumption, low-rate wireless network.

The requirement is to support up to 2000 nodes in this network. It has below characteristics:

- Data is one way from node to gateway

- Each node transfer small package ( < 20 bytes ) with 5~10s intervals to its parent

- node can move from one parent to another

- tolerant to lose packages within a few intervals.

Hardware:

CC2530 or CC2630.

Initially we have looked at TI's zstack, but then realised it may have capacity limit (400~500 nodes max) with its complicated mesh topology. ( appreciate if you can point out it is wrong )

We have decided to use a simple and customised solution to match our need. Our initial design is finished but we need experienced developer to implement it.

Below is our plan:

The project is split to a few steps, a) implement node -> b) network forming -> c) node / gw integration -> d) project finalise.

Step (a) is very straight forward. It involves sending package to its parent or broadcast package to find a parent with interval. It can use basicRfReceive / basicRfSendPacket in TI's light_switch example. We have detailed flow diagram and some sample code (working code). This step helps us to identify right freelancer to finish the project.

- You are expected to demonstrate you are the right candidate for the project (with previous project description, some code snippet...etc). Ideally you have IAR, development kit and relevant devices already.

- We may choose 2 or 3 candidates and provide detailed information for step (a). This includes flow diagram, our sample code and detailed requirement for a.

- You are expected to provide a quote for step (a) as well as ETA.

- We may choose 1 or 2 candidates to work on (a) in parallel.

Once step a is done, we will move on to the next with right freelancer(s).

We don't have dedicated developer for embed dev right now. For a right developer, you can expect to continue the partnership with us for future enhancement/feature either on freelancer or direct offer.
