Import and Update Azure SQL from Excel/CSV

When you say console is that something you can run locally which would connect to azure as this would be the cheapest option to develop

My approach would be the following: - Create a Blob in Azure and upload the Excel file - Program a refresh (using PowerShell) to upload the file periodically (nightly?) to the Azure Blob - Make a Stored Procedure that reads the Excel/CSV file from the Azure Blob. Here we can use BULK INSERT or OPENROWSET methods and inserts/updates the data in its respective tables. - Schedule the execution of the Procedure. About the schedule; the file upload(refresh), the read from table and the insert/update can be programmed in Azure in one only schedule, with the needed periodicity.

Working as oracle plsql developer in a IT company for more than 3 years. I handle CRM (Customer Relationship Management) application for our USA Client. For your Project i can think of to create front end with .net framework and C# programming language and back end we will create plsql program to store/update/delete operation on a table. Hi, I am a software engineer with great experience of c#, asp.net, SQL and Azure stack. I have worked with these technologies for 4 years. My approach to your problem will be like this. I will design a secure web interface or windows application to upload the excel file. The file will be uploaded to Azure blob storage. When the file is uploaded I will write some metadata to an Azure queue. Then I will use an azure Web-job, that will keep an eye on the queue. Then the Web-job can process the file as soon as the file is uploaded. Through the Web-job, I can then insert/Update the SQL database. Then the uploaded file can be deleted if you need.
