Unity3D GenICam integration

This project will be part of an underwater visualisation system for a robotics platform taking on tasks including helping to install and maintain renewable energy and sustainable aquaculture, making safe areas littered with unexploded ordnance, and general industrial inspection tasks as required. We have a requirement for the integration of a Teledyne DALSA machine vision camera into a Unity environment. The camera is GenICam compliant. Live video from the DALSA camera should be exposed as a Texture2D (that will then be mapped onto a display surface). The application will be built in Unity Pro and will run on Windows. Each frame is to be captured and any Bayer patterning removed to give a clear colour image, and on receipt of each frame a separate thread (or other asynchronous task, whichever method is most appropriate) will be started that will perform image processing on the frame. The image-processing code has not yet been decided on and will be a subsequent Freelancer Project. The thread/task/etc should be launched even if it immediately closes or does something trivial. At each Update event the latest frame should be displayed on the display surface. The IP address of the target camera should be able to be set by coder or in the Inspector to allow multiple cameras to be viewed using different instances of the same solution. The solution should also expose as variables (accessible by C# script) the make/model and serial number of the camera it is connected to. Video Latency is a priority with this project as is delivery date.
