Hello, I have read your requirements to create windows Service program which will automatically check remote folder for new files dropped or not at specific interval then it will copy new files in local folder as well as it will search for keyword and if it found it will rename file with that keyword + original filename and extension using FTP. Grettings Sr, I have created several windows services in C# before including FTP uploads/downloads, windows event and setup. PROPOSAL Create C# windows service to meet your requirements to download files from FTP. Steps: 0- Load XML config file with initial info. 1- Every certain # of minutes check remote FTP folder for new files. (Will use FtpWebRequest class to handle FTP folder) 2- If new files are found, download them to temporary folder. 3- search keywords in downloaded files content and copy to inbound folder all matched files with renamed file names. 4- copy original files into subfolder. --- . Try catch with error handling will be used and shown in Windows Event Log by using EventLog class. . InstallShield will be used to generate windows service installer.
