I have an existing C#/.net application that builds and functions under Windows. I want the code ported to the Raspberry Pi platform using Mono and the Winforms GUI toolkit. There are several components of this application which will need to be commented out in order to run properly on rpi/mono. It is your job to "stub out" these portions of the code so that the GUI can come up and operate. The incompatible aspects of the application (networking, serial port access and database) are not important at this time. I will either complete them myself or offer other projects here to complete them. The critical part for this project is to be able to have the GUI function properly when running on the rpi. The GUI consists of one full-screen window with three tabs and several modal windows which activate when a user clicks on areas of the screen with a mouse. I am a C programmer, not a C# programmer so I am struggling with the language, but that is where the person I am looking for comes in. The ideal candidate is someone with experience writing .net GUI applications that run under mono. Successful completion of this project requires that the GUI comes up and operates in a similar fashion as it does under Windows. The time frame to complete this GUI porting project is about 1 week.

Hi there, I can port your software. I have extensive experience with C#. I have worked with WinForms on Windows and ASP.NET on Mono. I haven't worked with the particular combination of WinForms on Mono, but I just took a quick look at their porting guide and I feel confident in porting your application. I have also used serial port and databases with Mono on a Raspberry Pi and I didn't have any problem. The application ran just as it was developed and compiled on Windows, just had to change the port names. So it should be easy to port the rest of your application at a later stage.
