Paid on delivery
This project consists of writing 20 500-600 word articles for a my personal dog blog about a specific breed of purebred dog. The subject of each article will be provided. All information needed for each article can be found on the Internet. We will need a minimum of two sources for each article which will be cited at the end of the article. These articles cannot simply be cut and pasted. They need to be original works, using paraphrasing and rewriting of the subject matter. Any direct quotes should be shown as such and refer to the website from which they are taken. We will provide you with an example once your bid is accepted. The writing style should be conversational and engaging. I don't want the article to be full of medical/technical jargon. It needs to be easy to read. If possible do not use a pre-written script but reply in a conversational style of writing as a sample of your writing style. I would like the book written in MS Word using Arial 12 point. I'll take care of edits and proof reading. There are many more of these types of projects on the horizon. **Platform:** Microsoft Word is preferred. **Deliverables:** 1) 20 articles about 500-600 word according to the subjects provided must be delivered as an MS Word file. 2) Each article is to begin with a paragraph that will lead to a read more link...that will lead to the rest of the article 3) I'll review and approve the articles to make sure it's within specification. 4) I'll retain complete ownership and copyright and have exclusive right to use all work online or in any publishing format. 5) It doesn't matter to me if you use content from other websites to give you ideas for writing, just don't copy the content and infringe on a copyright. All work must MUST BE ORIGINAL …. ## Deliverables **Guidelines for Writing Follow the Elements of Style guidelines.** 1. We will not accept writing that requires editing for grammar, sentence structure, vocabulary, spelling, or punctuation. 2. IT IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO SUBMIT WORK THAT IS SIMPLY GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT. YOUR WRITING MUST SOUND "NORMAL AND PROFESSIONAL" TO A TYPICAL AMERICAN. 3. Get to the point! Do not use 2 words when you can say the same thing with one. Be as concise as possible. Don't say "From the very beginning of your company, your brand has been growing and growing with regard to the market's perception of it." Instead, say "Over time, the market has become increasingly aware of your brand." 4. Unless otherwise specified, each article will be 500-600 words long. 5. Articles will contain only positive language. You should say things like "A company's brand is its image to the rest of the world," rather than "A company's brand is not advertising, marketing, or product - it is something completely different." 6. Articles will not contain any sentences written in the "passive voice." All sentences will be written in the active voice. As an example, you should say "The company managed its brand poorly," not "The brand was managed poorly by the company." 7. Do not use a big word when a shorter, more common word communicates the point more clearly. For example, say "Avoid the temptation to design your logo yourself," rather than "Eschew the temptation to craft your logo yourself." 8. Use transitional words such as "Additionally" or "Moreover" to connect one paragraph to another. 9. Do not be repetitive. Make your point and then move on to the next thought. 10. Do not qualify your statements with words like "might," "could," or "possibly." This is an unacceptable sentence: "Your brand might be one of the strongest advocates your company has on occasion in the marketplace." Instead, say: "Your brand is your company's strongest advocate in the marketplace." 11. Do not use exclamation points (!) or any type of exclamatory sentence when writing a more professional article. In other words, don't say "Warning! Your brand might be talking behind your back." Exclamation points may be used when writing more personal or less formal articles. 12. Do not use any of the following words or phrases when writing a more professional article: very, really, feel, think, a lot, et cetera, etc., as, sort of, kind of, just, like 13. Avoid writing in the first person unless it is a less formal article. 14. When you are making a list of things, always include a comma before the conjunction. So write "Tom, Dick, and Harry", not "Tom, Dick and Harry." 15. Punctuation goes inside of "quotes," not "outside". 16. Use one space after periods or exclamation or question marks. Separate paragraphs with a blank line. 17. Give the article two titles, one that is a description of what the article actually is and who it is for (Guidelines for Writing for Strongpages) and a less formal one (Work from Home! For Real!) Bold both of these. 18. DO NOT PLAGIARIZE! Do not simply copy and paste from another website. Cite your sources and use quotation marks if you are going to use direct quotes.
