We are a financial services company that helps people and families with their financial decisions and investments. We specialize in helping people through the retiring process. We offer an event repeatedly, which we call Retirement 20/20. It is a dinner event. We invite in a panel of 4-6 people who have already retired and about 40 guests who are getting ready to retire. We invite the guests to ask the panel any questions they would like to ask about retirement or retirement issues. The panel then answers the questions and we have an active conversation about the areas of retirement that concern our guests. The panelists are ordinary people who are willing to share their stories. The panel discussion is facilitated by 1 or 2 financial advisors from the Selah team but the answers to the questions are coming from the panelists and are not typical financial advisor answers.
I want to AB test a new postcard invitation that has more and and different copy as well as a new letter. The thing we hear the most from previous guests is that the loved the event, the event is very different than any other presentation or financial advisor dinner that they have ever attended, the event is very informed, they like getting real people answers, and good to learn from other people's experiences. We use the phrase 'retirement is scary, overwhelming and confusing' frequently, as if it is a tag line. We know from analytics that a message around avoiding costly mistakes is effective. In the past we have used a letter and postcard in our campaign.
For this project, we will be increasing the postcard size to 6 x 9 to provide more room for copy on the postcard. This project is to provide the copy for the front and the back of the postcard and new letter copy. We do want to continue the BYOF branding. I have attached the current postcard, which is 4 x 6, and the letter. You can learn more about us at www.selahfs.com.
