C++ In-Memory Event System Research

We are seeking a senior C++ Systems Engineer for a specialized technical study focusing on legacy client-server architecture. The primary objective involves research into data integrity and local state management when the client is subjected to high-frequency server synchronization. The technical scope requires implementing a mechanism for local state persistence, specifically maintaining 13 offsets within a player-status data structure against server-initiated updates to verify if local values can be persisted despite external synchronization commands. Furthermore, the project involves developing a resource mapping redirection layer to map internal request IDs to alternative local data tables for diagnostic purposes. Candidates must also be capable of protocol analysis, which includes intercepting and simulating modifications to outgoing data packets within a controlled testing environment to evaluate server-side validation logic. Requirements for this role include deep expertise in C++, memory management, and the Windows API, along with proficiency in DLL injection and API hooking techniques. A background in reverse engineering or cybersecurity research is highly preferred. We are looking for an immediate start to achieve a functional proof of concept within 72 hours.
