There is some good Joystick testing software on Linux/Github, two of which being jstest-gtk and another evtest-qt one in C and the other C++. What we want to do is modify the program so that it goes in a loop so we can do a factory test of our Joystick. When a Joystick is plugged in every button/direction successfully pressed and released should be highlighted in green to show the operator this option has been tested. Once all buttons and directions have been tested then a "PASS" message should be shown and then wait for a USB unplug. Once the Joystick has been unplugged the software loops.
Hi, I can modify evtest-qt to your requirements or build new app from scratch using the SDL library. In the latter case, the application will work both under Linux and under Windows. Best regards, Alexey
