Through my proprietary, web-based data-entry portal you will open each scanned file, read the content and capture the following fields directly into the system: • Title or brief subject • One- or two-sentence summary • Sender and recipient names • Document date (as shown, or noted as “undated” when missing) • Exact file name and page reference • Any further markings that help identify or cross-reference the piece The interface resembles a simple online form, so no spreadsheet or desktop software is involved. All work is performed live in the database; as soon as you save, the record is archived and indexed. Handwritten 19th- and 20th-century scripts appear in some scans, so comfort with paleography and careful attention to detail matter. Clarity and consistency in both Italian and English summaries are essential; I will run periodic spot-checks for accuracy and uniform style. You will receive: secure log-in credentials, a style guide with sample entries, and the full batch of image files.
