Acumatica 2017 R2 Build 17.214.0044 Occasionally we have email failing to send due to transient errors. Acumatica does not retry sending the failed emails. We would like a some type of automated task that will check for failed emails then retry sending them. We would want the retry limited to 3 attempts and each attempt separated by 15 minutes. We would also like to see an alternate notification in the case that the 3rd retry fails. One suggestion for the alternate notification is that if we have an SQL query that can indicate the failure we could use our PRTG monitoring software to do the query and PRTG can notify us.

I work with an email marketing company that sends millions of emails per week. I have built several micro-services and admin systems to help the company as a client manage their email, as well as management tools for the client to schedule and send emails on their own through the same system. I am confident that I can build a simple solution that will cover your requirements. I have a few questions regarding this project: Do you need a front-end interface to manage this automated task (start/stop/logs) as well? Does the tool need to run in .NET or can it be some other micro-service that has it's own standalone management system? It seems your current email system uses SQL to keep track of email statuses. Will I have access to this SQL database to run this tool? Or will I does this project need to integrate w/ the current software you're using.
