I want to turn our in-house gas-turbine know-how into an engaging, self-paced online course built entirely around interactive modules. Your job is to design and develop those modules so learners don’t just watch—they experiment. The core of each lesson must be simulation driven. Trainees should be able to click through virtual engine bays, strip components, reassemble them, and see immediate feedback on what went right or wrong. Drag-and-drop activities will reinforce part identification, torque-sequence orders, and seal placement. I also need decision-based scenarios that ask, “Would you proceed with this clearance reading?” or “Which risk mitigation step comes next?” and then show the consequences. At any point learners must be able to pull up technical drawings, spec sheets, or maintenance limits for reference without leaving the flow. Content focus • Routine and major maintenance procedures • Full disassembly/assembly walkthroughs with attention to key risks (alignment errors, FOD, hot-section handling, etc.) Technical requirements • Author in a mainstream tool such as Articulate Storyline 360, Captivate, or a responsive HTML5 framework compatible with desktop and tablet. • Output as a SCORM-compliant package ready for our LMS. • All visuals, interactives, and source files handed over on approval. Acceptance criteria 1. At least three high-fidelity simulation units demonstrating disassembly, inspection, and reassembly. 2. Two decision-tree scenarios with branching feedback and replay option. 3. Drag-and-drop tasks covering component mapping and risk identification. 4. Built-in technical library panel reachable from any screen. 5. Final SCORM 1.2/2004 file passes upload and tracking tests on our staging LMS. If this sounds like your kind of engineering-meets-eLearning challenge, let’s talk timeline and milestones so we can get the first module in front of our technicians soon.

Hi, I have 9 years experience in (eLearning development, SCORM, HTML5, simulation-based training, instructional design, and technical content development). For this project, I am going to build interactive simulation-driven training modules that let learners practice gas-turbine disassembly, inspection, reassembly, and decision-making in a hands-on way, with drag-and-drop tasks, branching scenarios, and an always-accessible technical reference panel, delivered as a SCORM-compliant package ready for your LMS. I have real hands-on experience creating technical training content where accuracy, interactivity, and smooth LMS delivery are critical. You can expect clear communication, fast turnaround, and a high-quality result. Best regards, Juan

I can help you. Success here depends on the logic engine behind the simulations; simple drag-and-drop won't suffice for the precision required in torque-sequence or clearance-limit training. A hidden technical hurdle is the "suspend data" limit in SCORM 1.2/2004. When tracking complex branching decisions, high-fidelity state-saves, and a persistent technical library across a single package, the data can exceed LMS limits and fail to save progress. I resolve this by using custom JavaScript to compress state data before it hits the LMS. To maintain the flow you described, the Technical Library will be built as a global non-modal overlay, ensuring learners don't lose their place in a disassembly sequence when checking a spec sheet. If original CAD files aren't available, I will use a layered high-density photographic stack to ensure the "virtual engine bay" looks professional and handles smoothly on tablets without the performance lag typical of unoptimized 3D-in-browser modules.

I specialize in transforming complex industrial SOPs into high-retention e-learning, specifically within the power generation sector. Converting your gas-turbine maintenance expertise into a structured Storyline course requires more than just slides; it needs a deep understanding of mechanical workflows and safety protocols. I recently completed a similar project where we reduced onboarding time by integrating real-world troubleshooting scenarios into the curriculum, ensuring technical depth was preserved while making the learning curve manageable for field technicians. I will use Articulate Storyline 360 to build custom branching scenarios where learners make maintenance decisions based on turbine sensor data. My plan includes integrating interactive hotspots for component identification—covering compressor stages and combustion chambers—to mimic physical walk-around inspections. The architecture will use SCORM 2004 standards for seamless LMS integration, featuring gated progress and randomized assessments for competency validation. This modular design ensures you can update specific procedures in the future without rebuilding the entire framework. Do you have specific CAD models or imagery of your turbine units, or should I source representative 3D assets? Also, are you aiming for a specific certification logic for your internal tracking? I am available for a brief chat to review your materials and define the pedagogical goals; let's discuss how we can make this the gold standard for your internal technical training. I look forward to helping your team achieve mastery through this comprehensive course.
