Hi Seth, I may be a little late to your party but let me throw my hat in the ring anyway. I am an electrical engineer with an ordinary day job and some free time on my hands. All what you are asking for sounds pretty much up my alley. Brushed, brushless and stepper motor controllers I have fair amount of experience with, same with voltage regulators.
