Restaurant waiter robot Components:
- A robot trolley up to 5 trays
- Ultrasonic sensors
- Motor (big stepper motor)
- Wifi / Bluetooth
- LCD display
- Lithium ion battery
The robot need to follow the line drawn on the restaurant floor and move in one direction only. The shop worker will use a mobile phone to setup the shop layout with table numbers, charging station and pickup station. A simple console and report need to be shown in the App to indicate the battery percentage, distance travelled and tables served daily. The App can be used to instruct the robot to self charge at charging station.
After shop worker enter the table number for each tray and press Go, the robot will follow the line and send the food to each table. When arrived at the table, it will turn to face the table and speak to customer to pickup food from the specific tray. After 5 seconds, it will inform the customer to press button to let him go after collecting their food. Then it will continue to the next tables and finally goes back to the pickup station.
