Our retaining wall recently collapsed and, as there is a large shed that sits on the property border above the retaining wall, I was seeking advice from a Structural Engineer on the best solution and also permits required and responsibility for costs (eg, does the retaining wall provide mutual benefit to my neighbour and therefore the costs are to be shared). I am contacting retaining wall specialists to help address the issue but felt that some expert advice may potentially be useful.
