I need an AppleScript Application written that will combine all of the following into one AppleScript Application:
• Merge two Excel .csv files (Already have that AppleScript written as a stand alone. Will provide)
• Delete extra row in Excel that is left in between the two merged files (Already have that AppleScript written as a stand alone. Will provide)
• Sort all columns in Excel by address (expand selection so that each row's information moves with the addresses being sorted)
• Copy contents of one of the columns in Excel, launch MS Word, Paste the column contents in to MS Word, Find and replace returns with commas, leave MS Word file open
• Save this new .csv file to folder in which it originated
I need a second AppleScript that will combine all of the following into one AppleScript Application:
• Sort all columns in a .csv file by address (expand selection so that each row's information moves with the addresses being sorted)
• Replace three columns of info in the aforementioned .csv file from another Excel .csv file
• Add an additional column called "Age" (Already have that AppleScript written as a stand alone. Will provide)
• Paste a pre-existing Excel formula in to all cells in "Age" column (will provide formula)
• Combine this .csv file with another .csv file (Already have that AppleScript written as a stand alone. Will provide)
• Change all text in this final Excel .csv file to Title Case except for the first column.
• Saves this new Excel .csv file back into same folder where all the .csv files originated from with a unique file name (preferably, if there is a way… I’d like it to have the name of the FOLDER that all the .csv files reside in with “Done” at the end. Example: If the folder the csv files reside in is named “Courthouse” then name it [login to view URL] alternately if that is not possible then have the file named [login to view URL]
Note: If the specific programs mentioned (MS Word, Excel) are not important in the final output of the file I am open to other suggestions. As long as I can open the final .csv in Excel and copy/paste from a text file for the output of bullet #4 i(mentioned in the first AppleScript) then thats fine.
The final AppleScript application will be based on the AppleScript mentioned in the first bullet, which allows me the ability to launch the AppleScript as an Application and choose multiple files I want to run the Applescript on through Mac OS Finder. Must be compatible with MicrosoftOffice 2008 and Mac OS 10.11.6 El Capitan
I will provide the following:
- All of the existing stand alone AppleScripts mentioned above in bullet 1,2,6 & 8
- Excel formula mentioned in bullet 7
- All the Excel files that I use in this workflow (for your use and testing)
- A link to a short youtube video showing step-by-step exactly how the current workflow functions so you can see the process
I can provide you MacOS progam (compiled version not an AppleScript app) that will allow you to select files to process using simple GUI through Mac OS Finder. It will merge selected (Excle/CSV) files using above rules (and also generate plain text *.txt file just like you want).
i saw your project and i assure i can do this job with maximum accuracy, i have previously done many data based jobs, where in i was supposed to copy paste from AMAZON to Excel sheet
