Project Overview:
1. This spreadsheet already contains some vLookup formulas. Please do not alter these formulas unless it is necessary to achieve the tasks outlined herein, or if the approach used can be improved.
2. The following fields require manual inputs and should be ignored: Requestor, Event Date, Event ID, Campaign Name, Comments.
3. In essence, this spreadsheet will manage budget information.
4. The "Budget Tracking" worksheet will handle more granular/comprehensive data summarization.
5. The "Event Summary" worksheet will handle more macro-level data summarization.
6. All data values relevant to this project should be maintained in the "Source Data" worksheet.
7. Ensure that all formulas, calculations, etc., created to support this project are capabible of functioning in a web-based Office 365 operating environment.
Project Scope/Desired Results:
Task 1 - Budget Tracking Worksheet:
(a) Create dropdown list groups for column D using DVP-to-VP pairings contained in "Source Data" worksheet.
(b) Populate column D with VP's associated with DVP chosen from column A.
Task 2 - Budget Tracking Worksheet:
(a) Subtract "Event Cost" contained in column I from "Starting Budget" for each respective DVP, then show "Remaining Budget" in column K. Important! As cell I5 shows, Chris Brantman has a second event with a cost of $ 4,000. I would like the "Remaining Budget" to automatically calculate and populate for each new row based on the DVP chosen from column A.
Task 3 - Event Summary Worksheet:
Hint: As you will see, column A and B already contain appropriate linkage to "Source Data." I don't think anything needs to be changed with how I am serving this data up.
(a) Calculate the total number of events booked for each DVP based on the DVP name chosen from the select list for column A on "Budget Tracking" worksheet.
(b) Calculate the total # Planned events for each DVP based on the value chosen for column J ("Status") on "Budget Tracking" worksheet.
(b) Calculate the total # of events In Progress for each DVP based on the value chosen for column J ("Status") on "Budget Tracking" worksheet.
(c) Calculate the total # of events Completed for each DVP based on the value chosen for column J ("Status") on "Budget Tracking" worksheet.
(d) Calculate the total # of events Postponed for each DVP based on the value chosen for column J ("Status") on "Budget Tracking" worksheet.
(e) Calculate the total # of events Cancelled for each DVP based on the value chosen for column J ("Status") on "Budget Tracking" worksheet.
(f) Calculate remaining budge for each DVP based on total budget subtracted against the total sum of "Event Cost" values for each respective DVP managed on "Budget Tracking" worksheet.
