We are currently using Shoutcast for our Internet Radio stream and are looking to obtain a cross-browser-compatible media player for our listeners through Flash.
Currently, the FMP (Flash Music Player - [url removed, login to view]) is in use. But it is causing problems with Internet Explorer.
Research has shown us that Flash can play a Shoutcast Stream, but Shoutcast streams must run through a "proxy" in order for the streams to play correctly. Sometimes with this method a memory leak will occur. The player accumulates the stream Data until it crashes after 30 to 60 minutes depending on the bitrate.
We want to have an Flash Player which:
- it has to play a m3u playlist
- overcome the problem with memory leaks
- works with every browser
