Develop custom version of Oregon Trail

I am a sales manager at Alfa Laval and responsible for heat exchanger sales in the HVAC industry. In this age of digital marketing, I am looking for a new and exciting way to reach my customers. Do you remember the game Oregon Trail? I would like to use that premise, but change the "journey". The player's budget would be spent on resources needed to design the product (available space, desired performance, equipment capabilities....). Obstacles would be various types of equipment failure based on the resources they did/did not purchase. I haven't thought of parallels for all the features of the game...yet ;-) I am looking for a rough budget on what something like this would cost.
