Over the past 4.5 years I worked at PwC as an auditor where part of my job included counting inventory for several companies, from the smallest companies to the largest companies in the world. This included planning the inventory counts, attending the counts and actually counting the inventory and recording it correctly, observing companies performing inventory counts so as to recommend changes to improve errors in counting such as double counting, leaving areas in a warehouse uncounted as well as fraud.
