We are looking for a writer with a technical background with an interest in computing, imaging, photography, drones/uav, and software. The project is writing a series of blog posts that summarize and describe various uses and applications of our product PhotoModeler ([login to view URL]).
The series is called "With a Camera". For example a post might be "With a Camera You Can Map a Traffic Accident", or "With a Camera You Can Measure the Volumes of Stockpiles".
We would provide a topic, and the writer would search our web site, blog posts, articles, tip videos, tutorial videos, and as well do general google searches. The writer does not need to be an expert in PhotoModeler or photogrammetry (the underlying technology) but does need to be able to research and absorb quickly. And then write the story in a compelling way.
Each article would involve doing the above research, reading some blogs and articles, perhaps watching some videos, and then coming up with a compelling story in a blog piece with approx. 300 to 600 words, with links to relevant articles, videos and other posts, and an image or two. The blog pieces are to promote the PhotoModeler products but consideration should be taken that the posts are actually useful to customers in that field and that they are easy to find using appropriate key words (ie. be aware of SEO). Also touching on the 'pain points' of that application and explaining how PhotoModeler helps.
The writing should be in a professional style but not too dry. Our readers are mostly technical people such as engineers, architects, graphic artists, etc.
It is hard to say how many of these articles there will be but we already have a topics list. The writer, though research of our resources, would be able propose topics as well. As well it is hard to say how long each post will take to write. Some may be easier than others as there will be a few focused resources to study. We'd publish one of these once per month hopefully (on [login to view URL]).
We will give a few writers a trial (with payment) writing an article or two and then pick the best to move forward with for the whole project.
