Teaching Mural artist

Yendor is an arts organization, which specializes in the administrative, managerial, production, and installation aspects of public art as creative place making. Serving underserved communities with community-based projects while also providing a true working wage for professional level regional artist. As our company enters the 2019 mural season we begin with a set of Mural ED workshops. These workshops are community based projects which allow for the neighboring students to participate in the creative aspects of designs, installing and producing murals. This call for artist directly connected to three projects(HELP USA Mural Program, Newark Girl Scout Troop and Yendors Mural ED Program). This call is open to all professional level artists with experience creating mid-large scale mural designs, teaching, and directing various ages from 11- 17. Artist must have experience handling, operating or maneuvering all tools necessary to create the proposed mural, examples are; Exterior latex paint, aerosol paint, paint sprayer, rollers, extension poles, ladders, proper protective gear, boom/ scissor lift, and scaffolding. All applicants are required to submit an artist statement/ bio, CV / resume and portfolio / website. Artist statement or bio and CV or resume must be one (1) page for each and submitted as a word or pdf document. Portfolio images must be high resolution and in a zip folder no more than ten (10) images no less than three (3) images. Artist websites are highly regarded please make sure to have an active link placed within you initial email or word/pdf document. Social media links are welcomed but not required.
