Hi there I'm a node.js expert and I'm professional in using socket IO library. The first problem is for the heartbeat time and it can be customized from the server files but the sockets should connect automatically after a disconnection and probably there are some problems in the front-end. the received status can be done by Acknoledgement that is in the socket IO library. and the typing status is very easy to deploy for me.
