Add a tab bar badge for new rss feed

This is quite a small issue. I need someone who can add the following feature to my existing iphone application project:
I already have a rss news feed reader with a detail view for every feed, The rss news is the fourth tab bar item. I would like to have a badge number on this
tab bar item according to the number of new rss feeds. As soon as the user has opened the new feeds the badge
number should disappaer or decrease. In the end it should look like this: When a user downloads the app and opens it first time, the badge should show the number of all rss feeds available at this moment. Later on the badge should show the number of new feeds as long as not read.
I can provide the complete code for my rss feed reader. I work with storyboard.
