I'm converting my food truck's power system from acid lead batteries to lithium. I need an experienced engineer to assist with the installation of a new converter and ensure the wiring is suitable for the new power source. Key tasks: - Install a converter that has a power of 5kW, suitable for a 60V battery input, and can charge the batteries with 240V mains voltage - Partially rewire to accommodate the new system (assume thicker wires now needed) This is for an electric food truck. Simple wiring is already in place & visible. Batteries are being built and installed by experts i SE5, London. Can be flexible on timings. as I need to source the converter. Ideal skills and experience: - Electrical engineering background - Experience with food truck or vehicle power systems - Knowledge of lithium battery systems - Proficient in wiring and installation of converters

My approach would be: • Review the lithium battery specs and BMS limits • Help select a 5 kW converter/charger suitable for 240 V input • Check the current wiring and determine where heavier gauge cables or protection devices are needed • Install and test the system so the charger and batteries operate correctly Because the wiring is already accessible in the truck, this type of upgrade can usually be completed efficiently once the converter is chosen.
