I am seeking a writer to produce 20 simple short stories in Japanese, approximately 1000 words each, for adult learners of Japanese.
Stories are intended for A2-B1 level learners so you must have experience of working with Japanese students either as a teacher or producing learning materials. This is important in order to produce appropriately graded stories.
The stories should use an N4 level of grammar and vocabulary, and N5 level kanji.
Our goal with these stories is to help the student master Japanese grammar. For this reason, each story will have a higher than normal occurrences of a specific grammar point in Japanese (e.g. Japanese sentence structure, the particle wa vs ga, etc.).
We will provide a list of grammar points that must be included and detailed language guidelines for the use of each one.
You will need to create the stories with these grammar points in mind, and distribute them carefully throughout the texts.
For example, one short story will focus on the particles wa and ga. So you will need to design a story that plans to use both of these particles frequently throughout so that the reader/learner is exposed to them and learns to notice the difference between them. However, the challenge at all times is to do this without distracting from the stories themselves.
This is an important part of the project, so will require careful planning before starting to write. For this reason, you must have an excellent knowledge of Japanese grammar.
I'm looking for someone with a proven track record of creative writing in different genres and be able to demonstrate the ability to grade writing for different levels of learner.
In order to apply for this position, please...
1) Provide samples of previous creative writing (ideally fiction)
2) Describe your experience of writing graded material or working with Japanese students
3) Answer the following question: How would you approach the task of writing stories that are appropriate for N4 learners while also ensuring they are engaging and entertaining?
I look forward to hearing from you!

People create books and eBooks for many reasons. First, it could be to showcase their expertise in a subject or field. Second, it could be the next most effective way to generate lead to their business and make more profit. Third, some people only wish to get others informed. Either way, an eBook will not be appreciated unless it is well researched and rich in content. This fact is always at the forefront of my mind when I write eBooks for clients like you. Because I am experienced in the area of book writing, I am confident that I can turn your raw ideas into a ground-breaking, solution-providing eBook. I promise to cover your chosen topic comprehensively while following your own desired style. Save your time, give me your specifications and I will make it work.
Hello,
I am a native Japanese speaker. I grew up in Japan because my mother is Japanese and then studied art criticism in London at Central Saint Martins's college. I have 3 years of experience in teaching Japanese to both children and adults whilst I was studying in London. I mainly worked with already existing textbooks however I am confident I can create my own short stories.
I actually spend two years in Japan appearing on NHK TV where I acted out short stories in German on a German language program.
Currently, I live in Paris where I am finishing my master's in Japanology. I am also a freelance journalist so I have plenty of experience of journalistic writing in Japanese and English. I also have plenty of time at the moment due to the confinement and university suspension.
I know I have no rating on freelancer yet since I just started using this platform properly since this March. If you would like to see any writings I have done for magazines please feel free to ask me.
Kind regards,
Tenko

Hello,
My name is Yuko. It's a pleasure to meet you. I currently work as a translator and sometimes do proofreading and writing an article in English. My translation varies from general documents to a little complicated. Also, I worked for an educational company before. I managed over 100 staff who are from English speaking countries(they're English teachers in Japan) and arranged their schedules there for ages. Also, I helped them create a lesson plan so that they were able to teach Japanese students smoothly in the class. It was very interesting and of course, I enjoyed it. Although I've never taught students by myself, I believe that I can help with this project. I am a good communicator and have the excellent organizational ability too.
If you should require any further information, please contact me at your convenience.
Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Yuko
