Distributed Data Mining on Cloud (Hadoop/Map Reduce)
This project deals with learning of existing data mining
Algorithms (k-means, fuzzy c-means, naive bayes, bayesian network etc.)
and implement distributed versions of those algorithms on
cloud (amazon or google or ibm bluemix) using hadoop/map reduce.
They will also have to design user interface for the developed tools.”

The end product is a program written in C or in Java and port it to C if possible. Use libraries that has been created, that are only compatible with C, with an interface (text-based) to choose one of a few algorithms that will cluster/sort data and show it to the user.
As a starting point use our own, custom data, but as we progress with the project, use large-scale data from another source. As the next step research any algorithm online, learn how it works and get some code from the internet and using the algorithm, and rewrite it in our own program to test it. Once that is done try to put it onto Google cloud and do it with Hadoop/Mao reduce.
