I needed some help with a couple of templates
This current site uses Flash for the navigation.
I basically need 2 very simple templates, which exactly mirror the existing design (look and feel), but has a normal HTML nav, using JS to mirror the effect (instead of the current flash).
In order to make the navigation scalable, I would like it delivered like the nav on Dell site (i.e. a vertical drop down, rather than horizontal (as on the current site) see [login to view URL] So, the navigation can cascade to 3 levels. For example (as on the Dell site):
Hover over “FOR OFFICE” – builds drop down. Then hover over DESKTOPS which builds a further drop down.
Obviously I would only want the sub menu levels to build if I had added links at those levels!
From a navigation design perspective, I am flexible, but would want the new nav to fit the current “look and feel” (and colours) of the site (so not just a drag and drop of the Dell menu).
I would need:
TEMPLATE (1)
- Template provides and area for html/java nav (as defined above)
- An area for full content ([login to view URL] the [login to view URL] page
- An area for footer information at the bottom of each template
TEMPLATE (2)
- Same as TEMPLATE 1, but…
- An area for full content, but split into x2 editable areas e.g. [login to view URL]).
I would like the templates delivered as clean and simple HTML/CSS instead of using tables (currently used on the site).
The templates and navigation must be compatible across all major browsers.
I think it's a relatively simple job, but my expertise it HTML/ASP and not CSS and design!!
Many Thanks..
