Fix a problem with modal pop-up box and redirect (Coupon website)

We are running a large couponing site based on a modified script of [login to view URL] (no longer maintained)
With the latest Chrome Version (75.0.3770.100). the modal coupon code box pop-up is no longer working correctly.
Chrome does no longer open a new tab with the coupon site showing the coupon. The linked affiliate site is opened in the active tab now immediately You can reproduce that behaviour on this demo site be clicking on any coupon with a code using latest chrome:
[login to view URL]
The correct behaviour should be and worked until latest Chrome version:
Open a new active tab with the coupon site and showing the coupon in a modal box. Auto redirect to store affiliate URL in previous tab.
This workflow seems still possible as you can see it working correctly here, just click on "show online code": [login to view URL]
The script powering our site is using Smarty, PHP, Bootstrap, jQquery, CSS so these Skills are needed.
Right now we are looking for someone how can fix that problem ASAP.
If that works out we are realy looking for a long time cooperation as we need someone to modify our site and features that are needed.
