This is a small project inside a custom real estate crm application written in Cakephp.
It is essentially a simple interface to filter a list of properties based on two statuses.
Each property can have both a purchase status and a sale status at the same time. (eg. Closed + Pending Sale where a property has been purchased and is being Sold. I buy and sell houses.)
I have two rows of buttons. Top row is purchase status. Bottom row is sale status.
Both statuses are contained in the properties array being returned from the controller where they are displayed in a table in the view.
I want to be able to select one or many statuses from either the purchase or sale status, and filter the table based on statuses selected using Jquery. (no re-fetch of data).
I'm a junior developer and need help finishing this project. I have a some it working. Onclick is sending the "clicked" status via ajax to the controller and updating a session array since we need to save state. Where I'm stuck is with figuring out the best data to return to the ajax callback function, and then using that data to show/hide the rows based on the statuses selected.
The project will be considered complete when clicking any of the several status buttons shows the rows of data for the selected statuses, and hides the rows for statuses not selected, selecting another status updates the visible data without page refresh, and navigating away from the page and returning maintains the state of the filter.
If you don't have Cakephp + ajax, Jquery/javascript expertise, please don't bid.
For this project I prefer to work with a single programmer as opposed to a project manager with a bunch of coders.

Hi. From what I understood from your specifications, you need a simple javascript filter. The simplest way to code it is to create a filter method which gets an array of what statuses to show and hides from CSS the records with statuses not in the array and show records with statuses in the array. Then, on (de)/selecting a status it would just add/remove from the array and run the filter method again. If you have more questions please contact me.
Thanks
