Linux remote support

Remote Linux Tier 1/ Tier 2 support required on an ongoing basis - pay by the hour

you must be reliable and stay in contact We look after a growing number of Linux servers for our customers, most are Mandrake 9.1, some are mdk 9.0, some Suse

Most have ssh, webmin, Qmail, Courier, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Samba, Squid, Shorewall, Hylafax, proftpd

Current issues we need fixing:

dns based/bayesian spam filtering

virus scanning mail in and out

email monitoring/content scanning in and out

web blacklists including ad servers, spyware, adult, gambling, etc.

transparent proxy

end user squid acls and sqid log analysis

ftp anonymous read only

ftp account upload and download without shell account

ftp specify which directories each user can access

We have basic Linux knowledge and will do Tier 1 in UK office hours

You will provide Tier 2 support to ourselves and possibly out of hours Tier 1 direct to our customers

Remote working - communication by email , online chat, sms and phone

Skills: Apache, Linux, MySQL, System Admin, Ubuntu
