I represent a small UK web hosting company who are seeking occassional server administration work on their dedicated servers, primarily for their virtual private server products.
We're looking for someone who can complete tasks and implementations of new server requirements (networking, software etc.) to a high standard and in accordance with best practice, as well as someone who can make recommendations about desired product development to have a competitive edge against the competition.
We're looking for someone who ideally fits the following:
*Has extensive experience in server adminstration and maintenance.
*Highly experienced in IPv4 and IPv6 and capable of setting up complex networks (private and public)
*Able to assist on an adhoc basis to resolve complex technical issues with our nodes and the VMs that our L1/L2 support team need to escalate.
*Ideally be located in the UK purely for timezone purposes.
*Be familiar with the following operating systems that we routinely deploy: CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora and Webuzo
*Proficient in all aspects of KVM, firewall security, networking for virtual machines.
We are NOT looking to employ an individual. Work will be limited initally however we are a growing business so this will increase with time.
An NDA will need to be signed to discuss the specifics of the web hosting company I represent.
