I would like to have shell script for house-keeping purposes to schedule in cron job in my (Linux) hosting server. Those who have this scripts readily available can respond me with functions available in your script and your quote. Mainly, I am expecting the following functionality. 1) Take backup of all sub-folders from the given parent folder and create as a zip file with backup date/time as part of zip file and keep it in the specific folder. 2) Take backup of given MYSQL database and create as a zip file with backup date/time as part of zip file and keep it in the specific folder. 3) Delete the file(s) from given folder based on the given criteria. Before delete the files, the file list should be written on the specific file and maintain in the separate folder. 4) All shell script's running log should be routed to log file and summary of success/failure should be sent to the given email id. 5) Shall script should invoke the mysql function.
