Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Server Administrator with in-depth knowledge of managing cloud servers and web servers. The candidate should be able to effectively to achieve scalability, high availability and other benefits of cloud infrastructure.
As a Server Administrator, it is important to have comprehensive knowledge of configuring and managing Apache, Nginx or other web server technologies. The candidate should also be able to consider web server security aspects, including SSL/TLS certificate management, protection against application and database-level attacks, as well as a strong understanding of OWASP Top 10 threats and how to avoid them.
Experience in optimizing web servers for the requirements of Web3 applications is required, particularly in regards to multimedia content. The ideal candidate should understand the requirements of content delivery networks (CDNs) and compression algorithms to reduce webpage load times and improve user experience. Good knowledge of scaling technologies such as load balancing technologies and cloud-based scaling strategies is important.
Successful management of a server infrastructure also requires an understanding of documentation practices to effectively and securely manage the infrastructure. The candidate should have comprehensive knowledge of scaling web servers to meet the requirements of the growth of Web3 applications.
We are looking for someone who is able to configure and manage a robust, very secure, and fast running web server infrastructure that meets the requirements of Web3 applications and who has experience in deploying code from Github to the server. The candidate should have comprehensive knowledge of Git and version control, including managing branches, merging code, and deploying code using Git hooks.
The Server Administrator should also have knowledge of different deployment methodologies, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), and be able to implement these methodologies effectively to ensure the smooth deployment of code changes.
The ability to troubleshoot deployment issues and other server-related issues is also important, and the candidate should be able to debug issues and provide solutions quickly and efficiently. Having knowledge of P2P network protocols and blockchain technology is important for modern Server Administrators, particularly because we are working with web3 applications that rely on decentralized ledger systems and smart contracts.
